Rio Tinto BC Works has prepared the Nechako Dam Emergency Plan (DEP).

This procedure document is intended to assist Rio Tinto staff in the event of:

  1. DAM ALERT: Used in the event of a Dam Alert, of a risk of a dam breach.
  2. DAM BREACH: Used in the event of a Dam Breach emergency.
  3. EXTREME FLOOD: Used in the event of an extreme flood such as the Probable Maximum Flood.
  4. DEP COMMUNICATION TEST: Used for all Nechako Reservoir DEP communication tests.
