In late April, we initiated a stepped increase in discharge from the Skins Lake Spillway for reservoir management, in accordance with our commitment under WEI Flow Alternative 6A (wet year scenario).
Releases are intended to follow the shape of the 6A hydrograph (See page 19 of the WEI Phase 1 Report), with total volumes exceeding the reference hydrograph due to the availability of additional water under current wet year conditions.
With 250 m³/s recently achieved, we plan on holding at this level until mid-June when we anticipate a stepped decrease to 32 m³/s, followed by an increase in mid-July as part of the Summer Temperature Management Program.
The timing of flow changes are dependant on weather conditions. We will keep you informed of any updates.
