We will be implementing a stepped increase in discharge from the Skins Lake Spillway for reservoir management, in accordance with our commitment under WEI Flow Alternative 6A (wet year scenario).
Releases will follow the shape of the 6A hydrograph (See page 19 of the WEI Phase 1 Report), with total volumes exceeding the reference hydrograph due to the availability of additional water under current wet year conditions.
Flows increased to 50 m³/s on 28 April and will be stepped up to 200 m³/s by May 15. Following this, flows will be stepped down to 32 m³/s, with releases increasing again during the Summer Temperature Management Program.
The timing of the stepped decrease to the ecological minimum in May could change depending on weather conditions. We will keep you informed of any updates.
